Mom's bran rusks


 INGREDIENTS

500g butter

2 cups sugar

2 beaten eggs

1 box buttermilk

1kg self-raising flour

3 tsp baking powder

small box of all bran flakes or meusili

salt

METHOD

Preheat oven to 180C.

Melt butter, add sugar and stir. Add beaten eggs, buttermilk and then the rest of the ingredients.

Bake for about 1 hour in a pregreased oven dish. 

Take out of pan and cut into squares. Place squares in the warming draw to harden, or back in the oven on low heat
